Had fun in Belgium as most of the time was spent in small towns and cities rather than huge places like New York and Paris. The visit to Paris was fun as long as we stuck to the small part of Paris considered the tourist district. The area from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame and all points in between. We did drive past the Arc de Triomphe and saw the stores on the Champs Elysee, but didn't spend anymore time that far out.
Lots of fun tourist pictures, but nothing that I would consider as art-worthy.
The weather held for most of the trip, but Monday as we waited to climb the steps in the tower of Notre Dame, we became drowned rats as the rain poured down. We caught a bus to the Louvre where we had enough time lost inside to nearly dry off before we set off for the Musee d'Orsay, which was closed. *sigh* No impressionist art for us.
Another 24 hours of travel and we are back home trying to return our biorhythms to Pacific time zones.
